Obituary
Jimmy Paul Carr, 59, of Inglis, Florida passed away on May 3, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family following an 18 month battle with Ehrlichiosis Disease caused by a tick bite contracted in Levy County, Florida. He was born in Hartford, Alabama on August 7, 1961 to Earl and Charlotte Carr. He was a Christian by faith and a resident of Levy County with his wife of 30 years, Mary Harrison Carr. He moved to Inglis from Bronson to live on part of what once was Harrison Family Farm passed to his wife from her ancestors over 120 years. He loved country life and wanted to pass that lifestyle on to his grandkids. He joined the 4-H group to help his community and grandchildren. With the love of animals and community he was always there to help with any project that needed done. He was dedicated to family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl Carr & Charlotte Coffee, grandson Joshua Ian Catlett and niece Summer Sanders. Survived by his wife Mary Harrison Carr, Stepmother Billy Jo Carr, stepsister Cindy (Robert) Sarro, Brother, Michael (Karen) Eastburn, Sisters, Janice (Bruce) Stevens, Charlotte Eastburn, April (Tracy) Taylor, 7 Nephews, 8 Nieces, 9 great Nephews and 5 Great Nieces. Children: Tony (Tina) Holt sons Brandon (son Grayson) and Lane Holt ; Jamie (Shannon) Carr sons Nick and Braeden Carr : Theresa (Josh) Catlett daughters Alora (Hannah) Gordon son Jansen and Aubrey Catlett; Roxanne Carr Daughters Skylar (daughter Stella) Brianna and Rayanne Dwyer; Charlie (Erica) Holt children Tyler Vorhees, Chelsey, Julia and Chase Holt; Marlena Annette Batey daughters Brianna and Brooke Batey. Total of 6 kids, 15 grandkids, 2 great grandkids and "one on the way". A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Knauff Funeral Home in Williston, Florida. The service will begin at 5 PM. Knauff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Carr family during this time of transition.
