Obituary

Karl R. Rollins, age 67, was born on November 7, 1958 an passed away on May 12, 2026.

Karl was born into a lively family as one of six siblings. He grew up surrounded by the noise, loyalty, and togetherness that shaped him throughout his life. At just 17 years old, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served honorably as a tractor-trailer driver, carrying out his duties with discipline, reliability, and quiet pride. The skills and values he gained during his service remained with him long after his time in the Marines, guiding him into a lifelong career as a professional tractor-trailer driver — a job he performed with the same dedication he brought to everything he did.

He worked for and retired from Lockheed Martin after many years of dedicated service.

Karl was married to the love of his life for 43 years, a partnership marked by devotion, steadiness, and the kind of everyday companionship that becomes its own legacy. At home, he was a man of many talents. He took great pride in being his own contractor, building and shaping his home as a testament to his independence, craftsmanship, and determination.

Animals held a special place in his heart. He cared deeply for their welfare, offering kindness and gentleness to every creature that crossed his path. He was also a musician who found joy in creating and sharing music, and he had a lifelong love of cars, appreciating both their mechanics and their beauty. Cabinet making was another of his passions, a craft that allowed him to blend patience, skill, and creativity into something tangible and lasting.

Karl was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Rollins Sr. and Martha Meyer Rollins, and by his brother, Kurt Rollins.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores Rollins; his son, Michael Baker; his daughter, Angela Baker; his brothers, Kenneth Rollins Jr. and his twin brother, Kevin Rollins; his sisters, Kathleen Rollins and Karen Rollins Leland; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Karl leaves behind a legacy of service, craftsmanship, compassion, and unwavering love for his family. His life was built piece by piece through hard work, loyalty, and the quiet, steady acts of a man who gave far more than he ever asked for in return.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Weems & Sons Funeral Homes.
