Obituary
Donna Kay Sache Leggett, a lifelong resident of Chiefland, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11th. She was 73 years old. Donna was born on September 6, 1950 to her parents Porter Jethro and Josephine Elizabeth Sache. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James William (Billy) Leggett, two sisters Faye Sache and Portia Sache, and her brother Porter (Buddy) Sache. She is survived by her brother Wesley (Debi) Sache, son Leslie Allen Keene (Heidi), honorary son Darrell Norris, grandchildren Cason, Brooke, and Morgan along with nephews Leo Sache, Jake (Tiffany) Sache, and Seth (Morgan) Sache. Donna is also survived by a multitude of great nieces and nephews, including Avery, Emmalee, Sadie, Kade, Weslyn, Sutton, and Opal. Donna retired from the Levy County School district. She was known for being the crafting queen and having an eye for antiques. But most of all Donna Kay adored her large family more than anything else. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Knauff Funeral Home in Chiefland. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Trenton. Brother Seth Sache will officiate the service. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Tri-County Nursing Home for the care and love that they have shown to Donna. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Tri-County Nursing Home activities fund in Trenton. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Knauff Funeral Home Chiefland. My mama is Charlotte Jones Boling, daughter of Prieston and Wand Jones. I remember Ms. Donna Kay with her wide smile and full laugh loving on me and my sister every time we came into town, we always stopped by to see her. I remember her store and thought she was just the queen of the town. We went fishing once at a catfish pond and she laughed and laughed. I hope she is walking free now, doing cartwheels or whatever shes been wanting to do that she wasnt able to for so many years. I loved her and hope all of you are doing ok.

Ms. Donna Kay! I know you are strolling those streets of gold and I am happy for you. I am blessed because you were in my life - from baptism to bride to babies to grandbabies - you were a constant support. I appreciate your loving heart, admire your ability to turn fabric scraps into works of art, and am inspired by your strength. You took on life's challenges and handled them with grace. I have constant reminders of your goodness: your artwork hangs on my walls, your meatloaf recipe is my go-to (along with everything else in that cookbook), and my memories are sweet. Tell Mr. Billy I said "Hey!" Enjoy that stroll! I love you Ms. Donna!

Donna was a true friend we hadnt seen one another since 1968 I was in the Tri County Nursing Home when she was admitted after me I had the honor to visit her and we rekindle our past friendship.My friend is now gone from sight but her memory will live on i.in my heart
