Dorothy Mikell

Dorothy Lucille (McKinney) Mikell of Morriston went to her heavenly home on January 26, 2023. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Dorothy had a wonderful career as a child nutritionist for twenty-six years with the Levy County School System. She had many interests throughout her life. She was a member of the Morriston Church of Christ and the Morriston Red Hat Society where she enjoyed socializing with her many friends. She also enjoyed cooking and was very talented in sewing, quilting, and writing poetry. She loved to journal daily and left stories and poems behind for her family to enjoy. She was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family and her friends. She is survived by her daughter Margaret L. Mikell of Williston, FL, and her sons, Edward L. Mikell and wife Teresa of Pensacola, FL, Wayne A. Mikell and wife Sharon of Ocala, FL, and Daughter-in-law Missy L. Mikell of Judsonia AR, her Sister Evelyn Hall and husband Byron of Pinellas Park, FL, as well as eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death and greeted in heaven by her beloved husband of fifty-nine years William (Bill) N. Mikell, and her first born son, William (Billy) N. Mikell, Jr, of Judsonia, AR. She was also preceded in death by her four sisters and three brothers. Funeral will be held on January 31st, 2023 at Knauff Chapel in Williston, FL. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm with service to follow at 2:00 pm. Burial to follow immediately after service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Morriston, FL. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Knauff Funeral Home Williston.
